THE PROCESS
All of my portraits are created using the highest quality materials possible, from the paper to the pencils that I use to draw the image. I use thicker 300gsm hot pressed paper for a soft premium feel that is perfect for layering the colours. The pencils I use are a mixture of oil and wax based ensuring every detail can be captured.
I start by first creating a light outline using graphite pencil. Then using a multi layered approach I create the depth and realism within the drawing with the coloured pencils.
I thoroughly enjoy this process, seeing the artwork come to life.
